Settings & Billing

The Settings area is where you configure your organization's profile, connect integrations, and manage your subscription. Access it by clicking the gear icon in the header.

Organization Settings

Under General settings, you can manage:

  • Organization name -- Your nonprofit's display name used across the platform.
  • Subdomain -- Your public web address (e.g., yourorg.nonprofitable.com). This is set automatically during onboarding but can be changed here.
  • Custom domain -- On the Growth plan and above, connect your own domain (like www.yournonprofit.org). The platform handles SSL certificates automatically. Domain status shows as pending while DNS is being verified, then switches to verified once active.
  • Timezone -- Sets the default timezone for event times, email send times, and report dates.
  • Physical address -- Required for CAN-SPAM compliance. This address appears in the footer of all email appeals.

Email Settings

Configure how your outbound email appears:

  • Sender name -- The "From" name recipients see (e.g., "Riverdale Arts Center").
  • Reply-to address -- Where replies go when someone responds to an appeal email.
  • SPF/DKIM/DMARC -- For deliverability, the platform configures email authentication automatically when you verify your sending domain.

Proper email settings help ensure your appeals land in the inbox rather than the spam folder.

Stripe Connect Setup

To accept gifts, connect your Stripe account:

  1. Go to Settings > Stripe.
  2. Click Connect with Stripe.
  3. Follow the Stripe onboarding flow to create or link your account.
  4. Once connected, you will see your Stripe account status and can manage it from this page.

Your organization owns its Stripe account directly. Nonprofitable. never holds or routes your funds -- payments go straight from donors to your account. See Giving & Fundraising for more on how this works.

Billing & Subscription

Under Billing, you can view and manage your Nonprofitable. platform subscription:

Current Plan

See which plan you are on, what is included, and your current usage against any feature limits.

Changing Your Plan

Click Upgrade to move to a higher plan, or Downgrade to switch to a lower one. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. When upgrading, you get immediate access to the new plan's features.

All plans include unlimited people. Annual billing saves roughly 17% compared to monthly.

Feature limits use soft prompts -- when you approach a limit, you will see a friendly upgrade suggestion. The platform never silently blocks your work or fails without explanation.

Invoices

View and download past invoices from the billing page. Invoices are generated by Stripe and include all the details you need for your records.
