Website Builder
Website Builder
Nonprofitable. includes a built-in website builder so your organization can have a public web presence without needing a separate tool. Build pages with a visual editor, choose a theme, and publish to your subdomain -- all from inside the platform.
Getting Started
Your organization gets a free subdomain at yourorg.nonprofitable.com. To start building:
- Go to Website in the sidebar.
- You will see your page list (empty at first).
- Click + New Page to create your first page.
- Choose a page template or start from a blank page.
The Block-Based Page Editor
Pages are built by stacking content blocks. Click to add a block, then fill in the content:
- Hero -- A large banner with heading, subtext, and call-to-action button. Great for your homepage.
- Rich Text -- Formatted text content with headings, paragraphs, lists, and links.
- Image -- Single image from your media library with optional caption.
- Gallery -- A grid of images for showcasing events, team photos, or programs.
- Giving CTA -- A call-to-action block that links to your giving page. Includes a message and give button.
- Events -- Automatically displays your upcoming events with dates and registration links.
- Volunteer Signup -- A block linking to your public volunteer signup form.
- Button -- A standalone call-to-action button with customizable text and link.
- Spacer -- Adds vertical space between blocks.
Drag blocks to reorder them. Click any block to edit its content. Changes are saved as drafts until you publish.
Themes and Customization
The theme system controls the overall look of your website:
- Colors -- Choose your primary and accent colors to match your branding
- Typography -- Select font pairings for headings and body text
- Layout -- Configure navigation style and footer content
Theme changes apply to all pages at once, keeping your site visually consistent.
Page Management
Each page has a few key settings:
- Title -- The page name shown in navigation
- Slug -- The URL path (e.g.,
/aboutor/programs) - Status -- Draft or Published. Only published pages are visible to the public.
- Homepage -- Mark one page as your homepage. It loads at your root URL.
- SEO -- Set a custom page title and description for search engines.
You can also create hierarchical pages by setting a parent page, which is useful for organizing sub-pages under a main section.
Publishing
When you are ready to go live:
- Make sure your pages are set to Published status.
- Click the Publish button to push all changes to your live site.
- Visit
yourorg.nonprofitable.comto see the result.
Publishing generates a static version of your site for fast loading. You can re-publish anytime after making changes.
Custom Domains
On the Growth tier and above, you can connect your own domain (like www.yournonprofit.org) instead of using the default subdomain. Set this up in Settings under the domain configuration section. The platform handles SSL certificates automatically.
